About Me
About Me

Hi, I’m Wei-Yun
(You can also call me Jessica!)
I’m a product designer driven to find clarity in complexity. Born in Taiwan and based in Seattle, I enjoy designing systems and interfaces that make complex information easier to understand.
I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, and I hold a BFA in Industrial Design. My experience across startups, fintech, and agencies has shaped how I turn high-stakes user and business requirements into intuitive, impactful designs.

I care about sustainability,
I design things that could make our world better

I research, test, and experiment with sustainable materials to reduce environmental impact. I won a scholarship that allowed me to explore different aspects of sustainability in the Netherlands, which shaped how I approach design with responsibility and long-term impact in mind.

I also worked with engineering teams to build a machine that could turn recycled plastic into 3D printing filament.

I explore places through sketching and painting

I explore places through sketching and painting
I’ve been painting since I was a child, and art is still an important part of how I stay inspired and grounded. Through sketching and painting, I capture what I see and reflect on what I’m thinking.

I volunteer, mentor, and share what I’ve learned.

I support other students, sharing my experiences across different contexts. Through talks, critiques, and open conversations, I enjoy creating spaces where ideas can be exchanged and people feel encouraged to grow.
