What I Did
Led the end-to-end design of Marketeq’s first-ever wallet system, conducted competitive benchmarking of 20+ platforms and 5 user interviews to uncover trust, flexibility, and transparency needs, synthesizing findings into key design insights and MVP requirements.
Created detailed user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for View My Balance, Fund My Account, and Convert to TEQ Coin flows, collaborating closely with engineers and PM to ensure technical feasibility and smooth developer handoff.
Main Contribution
My internship at Marketeq shaping first-ever wallet features through research-driven design and end-to-end flow delivery
💰0 → 1 Wallet Design
Designed first-ever wallet system, enabling both clients and talent to securely view balances and fund accounts with USD and crypto.
📝 Research-Driven Frameworks
Benchmarked 20+ competitor platforms and synthesized insights that guided the roadmap.
🔀 End-to-End Flows
Created user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for balance viewing, account funding, conversions, gift cards, and transaction history.

How Might We
How might we design a wallet that supports both traditional USD users and crypto-savvy freelancers in one seamless experience?
Research & Insights
I analyzed 20+ platforms and conducted 5 interviews to identify wallet and funding patterns across marketplaces, banks, and crypto exchanges.
Key Insight #1
✨ Flexibility builds trust
80% of platforms benchmarked supported only one funding method (USD or crypto), while very few offered both. Users valued having the flexibility to choose between fiat and crypto depending on their needs.
“I use crypto for big projects, but I still want USD as backup.” -P1 interview
Key Insight #2
✨ Transparency reduces friction
Users expressed frustration with hidden fees and unclear processing times across many platforms. A clear transaction history and upfront fee display were seen as critical to building confidence.
“I don’t mind paying a fee, but I need to see it before I hit confirm.” -P3 interview

Affinity mapping of the competitor platforms
Design Process
I focused on building flows for "Fund with USD/Crypto", "Buy TEQ Coin", and "Convert to TEQ Coin". Each action feeds back into "View My Balance", where users can instantly track updates across USD and TEQ Coin.
Pilot Adoption Rate
Validating strong user interest in managing funds within Marketeq’s ecosystem.
Transaction Clarity
Helping users easily track and understand their balances and conversions.
Competitor Audits
Ensuring alignment between business goals and user needs.
👩💻 What I Learned
During my internship at Marketeq, I experienced the pace and ambiguity of working in a fast-growing startup. I had the opportunity to explore new product features while taking on both research and design responsibilities—a dual role that was new to me. This experience taught me how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to bring 0→1 ideas to life.
